How Do Our Auctions Work? FAQ

This page answers the most frequently asked questions about how our auctions work. For complete details, see the Auctions page.
Does winning the highest bid guarantee the purchase?

No. Winning the bid means your offer is the highest received at the time the auction closes—not that the sale is finalized. The seller reserves the right to accept or decline the offer.

Why can the seller refuse the highest offer?

The seller evaluates each offer according to their own criteria (replacement value, urgency of sale, etc.) and is never obligated to sell below a threshold that suits them.

What happens after the auction ends?
  1. We contact the seller with the highest offer received.
  2. The seller accepts or declines.
  3. If accepted, we contact you to finalize the transaction (payment, pickup, or delivery).
  4. If declined, we inform you and the item may be re-listed for auction, sold privately, or withdrawn.
How long before receiving a response?

Typically between 24 and 48 business hours.

Can I withdraw my offer?

Your offer becomes official only when the seller has accepted it. Before this acceptance, you may contact us to withdraw it.

Are there fees if my offer is accepted but I withdraw?

No, no fees are applicable.

How are items listed for auction inspected?

Equipment is sold without legal warranty. It is the buyer's responsibility to conduct necessary inspections before bidding—the purchase is made at the buyer's own risk.
